![]() I would suggest sourcing options of wood transitions at a hardwood supplier, millwork supplier, or lumberyard. With that in mind, a wood transition might be the best option, and stained a color to compliment both floors. The problem is that with the floor already installed, it is not possible to use the Schluter, and unless a gap was left for the marble, that may or may not work either. This one pictured is what we normally defer to for carpet- to - tile transitions. ![]() Usually the carpet is "rolled" and secured against the marble.Īs far as Schluter products, there are many choices and finish color options. The marble should be set on underlayment which is mortared down, not directly on the subfloor. ![]() If you go with a marble threshold, make sure to use the right height, as there are different thickness options. Normally we would use either a Schluter brand metal transition or we would use marble.Ĭommon available marble thresholds are usually white or carrara, so with a dark floor, you are probably looking at a custom marble threshold to get a dark color. ![]()
